  Several good college football matchups await us on the day after Turkey Day.   Check out my calls on some of today’s action:

West Virginia (-3) over PITTSBURGH

Pittsburgh has been scrappy all season long but they are missing something.  West Virginia has improved as the season has gone on and they were 45-27 winners the last time they played at Pittsburgh.  The Mountaineers are still holding out for a Big East championship and to do that they must beat Pitt.

Mississippi St. (+19) over MISSISSIPPI

Mississippi St. is the scrappiest team in America with a losing record every year.  They will be offended by this huge line against them in this rivalry game and I expect them to play like a team that is offended.  Mississippi St. plays defense so getting this big number gives them value.  Look for them to keep it close.

ARKANSAS (+5) over Lsu

I don’t know who LSU is anymore.  They are a team operating on low confidence right now and their last few games have made them look pretty bad.  They will want revenge when they travel to Arkansas but given the way they have played lately,  I don’t like them laying more than a field goal.

Colorado (+18) over NEBRASKA

I guess dogs are the call today.   Colorado has a losing record yes but they have hung around in their games.  Versus Oklahoma St. and Texas,  the Buffs hung in there relative to how other teams did when they faced those teams.  Nebraska is not a Big-12 powerhouse and I think the Buffs can make this game interesting.

Ucla (+10) over Arizona St.

Arizona St. is in the middle of a season they did not expect to be in.  By no means did they expect to be 4-6 at this point in the season.  I don’t know how motivated they are going to be to cover the number in this contest.  Ucla is a team building to the future.   I think they have come to grips with where they are and have embraced the opportunity to build towards next season and beyond.  They will be motivated here to keep their hopes alive of a .500 season.  I think they battle the Sun Devils hard.
